She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie and Kathie; her brother Bill Nixon; her sister-in-law Lois Brill-Nixon; and her grandchildren, Lyndsey, Lauren, Douglas, Dana and William. She is also survived by nephews and by all extended family members and friends.
Marilynn's favourite charity was Covenant House.
