He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Canney and Mary Canney; and his sister Christine Verhey. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Canney; his children, Allan (Carmen) and Tracy (Paul); his grandchildren, Jamie, Nuala, Evan and Lila; and his sister Patricia O'Connor.
