He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Barley and Mary Barley; his siblings, Peter Wilson and Margaret Harrison; and his brother-in-law Barry Harrison.

He is survived by: his wife Rosa; his children, Louise Moore (Carl), Joanne Barley (Sean Quinn) and James Barley (Danielle); his grandchildren, Brooklynn, Scout, Cadence Moore, Emma Quinn-Bowes, Hunter Barley-Quinn, Pierce and Blair Barley; his stepchildren, Eduardo Guimaraes of Souza and Vitor Guimaraes of Souza; his stepgrandchildren, Vitoria Olivira Souza and Eduardo Henrique Guimaraes of Souza; and his former wife Rosina.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Gordon's memory to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto.
