He was predeceased by: his father Edward; and his wife Josie. He is survived by: his sons, Edward Jr. (Mary), Kenneth (Debbie), Brian (Lori) and Richard (Allison); his grandchildren, Andrew (Kelly), Christopher (Katie), Teresa (Ryan), Alicia (Brian), David, Amanda (Nick), Rebeccah (Johnny), Matthew (Christina), Thomas (Chantel), Elizabeth (Josh) and Kathleen (Dustin); his great grandchildren, Jake, Haley, Mackenzie, Sofia, Owen, Benjamin, Ethan, Eva, Tatum, Tye and Ginger; his siblings, Richard Majka (Karen) and Lorraine Uba; and his brother-in-law Edward Szela. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospital for Sick Kids.
