He was predeceased by: his parents, James and Issa; his stepmother Violet; his sister Barbara; his former wife Bunty; and his daughter-in-law Laurie.
He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline; his children, Janet (Wayne Halenda) and Brad (Tanya Henderson); his brother Bruce; his grandchildren, Brandon, Austin (Samantha), Cole and Blair; his stepchildren, Tim, Tom Thorney and Susan Campbell (Thorney); and his stepgrandchildren, Mitchell, Alex, Joel, Jenna, Jacqueline and Brianna.
Due to pandemic restrictions, the service will be restricted to immediate family only.
The family insists that people make donations in lieu of flowers in support of either your favorite charity or Doug's favorite, Yorkminster Park Baptist Church.
