David Gerald Haley Obituary

After a lengthy illness, David passed away in Mississauga, on Sunday February 28, 2021 in his 84th year. Loving father of Paul and father-in-law of Denise. Proud grandfather to Alexa and Sophie. Predeceased by his parents Winifred and Albert Haley and by his twin brother Peter Haley (2017). David will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
David was born in Bradford, England and immigrated to Canada in 1952. He worked for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce for 41 years. During his career he worked in 7 different Canadian cities and was also an international auditor posted in the Caribbean and throughout Asia. He ended his career at the CIBC as a manager of the Yonge and Bloor Street branch in Toronto. David enjoyed playing golf and was once lucky enough to get a hole in one. After he retired from playing golf, he enjoyed watching English soccer with his son Paul.

If desired, memorial donations in David's name can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

As directed by the Province of Ontario and the Bereavement Authority of Ontario the attendance at the funeral and cemetery is restricted to 30% capacity or less and a record of attendance must be maintained.

Respecting the current situation and pandemic building restrictions, a Service will be held for invited guests only.

Wearing of masks, or face coverings, by everyone is mandatory during their time in the funeral home or cemetery.
