She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jettie Runner and James Burgin; her daughters, Toronto and Bettie; her husband Richard Kruse; her daughter Lydia Kruse Tietz; her son-in-law Edward Tietz, Jr.; her granddaughters, Janey and Grace Tietz; and her brother Homer Burgin. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

Over her life, and especially during the pandemic, she found great joy in exchanging encouraging notes and phone calls with her beloved extended family and friends.
