Agnes Kanda Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Agnes Kanda (Mississauga, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 16, 2025 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Agnes Kanda to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Shiroemon Shimono and Sakino Shimono; her sisters, Clare Tsujimoto (late Mas), Tomie Shiozaki (late Kiyomi), Hedy Iwata (late Fred) and Misao Kawabata (late Ross); her sister-in-law Grace Kinoshita (late Sat); and her nieces, Laurie Shimizu (late Victor) and Janice Shiozaki.
She is survived by: her husband Kenneth; and her siblings, Patricia Fujiwara (late Alan), Theresa Kodama (late Ted) and George Shimono (Jenny).
A reception will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel (4933 Dundas St W, Etobicoke, ON M9A1B6).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre or the Nikkei Voice would be appreciated by the family.
