He was predeceased by: his father Bob Merritt. He is survived by: his mother Sharon Merritt; his children, Hayley and Luke Merritt; the parent of his children Alana; his siblings, Sean Merritt, Amberley Merritt and Erin Heldt (Stephen); his parents-in-law, Neal and Louise Gridgeman; his brother-in-law Matthew Gridgeman; and his nieces and nephews, Hunter, Reid, Tate, Carter, Addyson and Emersyn.
