He was predeceased by: his parents, Les Venner and Ada Venner; and his siblings, Jim, Roy, Howard Venner and Joan Janes.

He is survived by: his significant other Shirley (Bowman); his children, Debbie Fitzsimmons (Fred), Gary Venner (Anne), Gregg Venner (Diane) and Vicki Haberl (Kevin); his grandchildren, Kaila Howe (Tory), Kimberley (Mark), Catherine Fitzsimmons, Jaslyn (Owen) and Connor Haberl (Krista); his great grandchild Wesley; and his nephew Mark.
