Though Doris Gwendoline may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Doris Gwendoline touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Ritchie and Myrtle Ritchie (Lloyd); and her husband Allan Glassford. She is survived by: her sister Marilyn Compton; and her children, Donna Kelly Aker, Janice Symons (Andrew), Gary Glassford and Susan Somers (Bob).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the W. John Thomas Funeral Home (244 Victoria St E, Alliston, ON L9R1V6). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bond Head United Church (4221 Simcoe County Rd 88, Bond Head, ON L0G1B0).
