We are sad to announce that on November 25, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Irene Kieffer of Mildmay, Ontario. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her sisters, Lillian Delucchi (Tony) and Eleanor Ditner (Stan); and her parents, Murray Walters and Dorothy Walters. She is survived by: her husband Lorne Kieffer; her children, Joe Kieffer (Michelle) of Woodstock, Kelly Schaus (Chris) of Mildmay and Darren Kieffer of Woodstock; her grandchildren, Jared Schaus (Jordan Scholten), Carter Schaus (Michaela Babcock), Kiefer Schaus and Mia Crispin-Kieffer (Dylan Ropp); her stepgrandchildren, Summer Mcphee-Merwin, Randi Rimmer and Shelbi Rimmer; and her siblings, Ross Walters (Linda) of Hanover and Shirley Schwehr (Doug) of Durham. She is also survived by her many friends and neighbors.

As expressions of sympathy donations to University Health Network Foundation (UHN Foundation) or Saugeen Hospice would be appreciated by the family. Donations are being accepted for: UHN FOUNDATION (TORONTO GENERAL & WESTERN HOSPITAL FOUNDATION) Saugeen Hospice Incorporated.

“We are sad to hear this news and send sympathy to Irene's family and friends. We are Dianne Leith Wolfe and John Leith, two of the 4 Leith children who grew up at Elgin Lodge in Port Elgin. Lillian, Eleanor and Irene worked summers at the lodge during their high school years. Our parents loved them dearly and always wished there were more sisters to carry on the tradition. Many girls from the Mildmay area worked at the lodge. We have fond memories of the good old days of our youth.”
