With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Alfred Fischer of Mildmay, Ontario, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Alfred left this world on October 29, 2024 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dominic Fischer and Pauline Fischer; his siblings, Jean Weber (Wilfred), Marie Waechter (Percy), Melinda Dixon (John), Leo Fischer (Marguerite), Isabel Dietrich (Robert), Jerome Fischer (Rosella), William Fischer, Ervin Fischer (Anne), Leonard Fischer (Mary), Laverne Breig (Simon), Ron Fischer and Lloyd Fischer; and his siblings-in-law, Ed Haelzle, William Goetz and Helene Fischer.

He is survived by: his wife Laura; his children, Barbara Cassidy (Don) of Fergus, Don Fischer (Mary Beth) of Mildmay, Darlene Batte (Rick) of Mildmay and Doug Fischer (Shelley) of Mildmay; his siblings, Elizabeth Haelzle, Charles Fischer, Paula Weber (Allan) and Patricia Goetz; and his siblings-in-law, Florence, Ruth Fischer, Phyllis Schefter and Dave Schefter (Helen).

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cameron Funeral Home (1106 Yonge St S, Walkerton, ON N0G2V0). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (20 Peter St S, Mildmay, ON N0G2J0).
