She was predeceased by: her husband John Douglas Beattie; her brother Ronald Brethour; and her parents, Margaret Brethour (Dolly) and Freeman Brethour. She is survived by: her children, Debbie Iveson, Daniel Beattie (Wendy) and Darlene Weale (Tom); and her sisters, Barbara Borg and Margaret Naughton (Peggy). She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Hospital for Sick Kids.
