We are sad to announce that on March 14, 2021, at the age of 85, Frank Thorneycroft (Midland, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his close friend Margaret Facer; his parents, Tom Thorneycroft and Min Thorneycroft; his wife Catherine Mary Thorneycroft; and his sister Evelyn Turner.

He is survived by: his stepson Daniel Lak (Manju); his grandchildren, Robert Parker-Lak and Katie Parker-Lak (Brent Langille); his great grandchildren, Alexandra and Rhiannon Langille; his sister Sylvia; his brother-in-law Ron Foster; his nephews, David (Liz), Neil (Renu) and Murray; his great-nieces and great-nephews, James, Ben, Stewart, Wyatt Foster, Naomi and Victoria; his niece Nancy Turner (Gerd); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ian and Charlie; his children, Wayne and Nancy; his close friends, Peggy Argue, Bob, Ann Miller and Doreen Lak (late Frank); his friend Gordon Lak; and also, Wayne Turner (Maria) and Rosemary Parker.

“Condolences to Frank's family and friends. I just learnt of his passing today 26th March. I flew virtually with Frank with DC3 Airways, which specialises in flying the immortal DC3 Dakota. We fly 3 times a weeks with around 12-16 pilots attending most sessions. Frank had a great sense of humour and it was a privilege to know him, if only virtually through our shared flight simulation hobby. We will in time arrange a tribute flight in his memory.
