He was predeceased by: his siblings, Sister Theresa, Bill (Riek), Ben (Toos), Riek (late Herman Noordman), Gerard (Ria) and Marinus (Annie); and his parents, Johannes Melenhorst and Gerritdina Melenhorst.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Melenhorst; his children, Jos Melenhorst (Francine) of Winchester, Henriett Pemberton (Basil) of Winchester, Mary Bongers (Ted) of Toyes Hill, Wilma Fawcett (Dwayne) of Winchester, Brian Melenhorst (Mary Jane) of Navan and Paul Melenhorst of Metcalfe; and his siblings, Dora (late Gerard Ruiter), Dinie (late Johan Kortstee), Marie (late Bernard Elshof), Herman (Annie), Hein (Mieke), Ans (Andre Wolters van), Tonnie (late Berry Sohot) and Jo (Franka). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
