He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Helen Brownell; his children, Vivian Brownell of Metcalfe, Yvonne Schaefer (Chris) of Thunder Bay and Catherine Hay (Daryl) of Perth; his grandchildren, Cory, Pauline Catling, Brian, Brandon Schaefer, Ryan Hay and Kaitlyn Thurler (Michel); his great grandchild William Thurler; and his siblings, Grace Courneya, Elsie Lawson, Audrey Taylor, Muriel Tucker, John Brownell, Ross Brownell and Ruby Brownell. He was also cherished by his nieces and nephews.
