He was predeceased by: his sister Ruby Brownell. He is survived by: his spouse Helen Brownell; his children, Vivian Brownell of Metcalfe, Yvonne Schaefer (Chris) of Thunder Bay and Catherine Hay (Daryl) of Perth; his grandchildren, Cory Catling, Pauline Catling, Brian Schaefer, Brandon Schaefer, Ryan Hay and Kaitlyn Thurler (Michel); his great grandchild William Thurler; and his siblings, Grace Courneya, Elsie Lawson, Audrey Taylor, Muriel Tucker, John Brownell and Ross Brownell. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
