He was predeceased by: his sister Lukas; his wives, Roelie Bouwers, Jannie Bouwers and Riek (Henk Breimer); and his parents, Johannes Bouwers and Jantje Flokstra.
He is survived by: his brother Henk Bouwers; and his sister-in-law Coby Bouwers. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
