He was predeceased by: his mother Letitia Agnes; and his siblings, Alice, Joan, Donald and Delores.

He is survived by: his father George David Robinson; his wife Glenna; his siblings, Charlie, Verna and Gerald; and his daughters, Debra (Ben Angevaare), Claudette (David Scott) and Michele (Paul Symes).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Canadian Kidney Foundation in memory of John.
