She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband John Edward Horton; her children, Tim Horton, Jeff Horton (Leslie) and Julianna Horton (Mike Guild); her grandchildren, Olivia, Dakota, Jeffery Horton, Alyssa and Michael Wiggelaar; her great grandchildren, Timothy and Paris; and her brother-in-law Bill Horton.

Although I too had a cottage on Mayo Lake, I had not met Diane since high school at York Mills CI and once at a Unionville restaurant when I was dining with my wife.. Diane was a vibrant presence at school and I will always remember her as a Princess at our school formal. Brian Adamson”

“As a friend in our youth, I was saddened to hear of Diane’s passing… while we were good friends in school, we had lost touch through the years, I heard of her passing from another friend in our youth, who had shared bits & pieces with me of her life through time. I understand she had a life well lived, loved & was loved. She will be missed. While reminiscing, we have remembered the happy memories of times we spent together… our laughter & fun while growing up & as she had the rest of her life.”
