She was predeceased by: her spouse Erwin Shields; her parents, Alfred Hall and Ada Cooper; her stepmother Aleda MacLean; and her siblings, Ruby Laviolette, Douglas Hall (Mildred), Velma Summerville (late Glen) and Stanley Hall (Donna).
She is survived by: her children, Jack Shields (Elaine) of Apple Hill, Bill Shields (Wendy) of Strathmore, Helen Shields of Maxville and Sherri Osmar of Ottawa; her grandchildren, Katherine (Hugh), John (Kim), Ryan (Jen), Robin, Megan, Shawn, Trevor, Laura (Andrew), Chelsea (Joel) and Corrina; and her sibling Bruce Hall (late Doreen). She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
