He was predeceased by: his wife Caroline; his parents, Richard Barrer and Hilda Barrer; and his siblings, Alan Barrer, Thelma Kelly and Barbara Stewart.
He is survived by: his children, Sheril Barrer, Lee Barrer and David Barrer (Wendy); his grandchildren, Melissa, Keith, Kyle, Aaron, Kaitlin, Kelsy, Kristopher, Blake, Dante, Kale, Ivy and Jackson; and his siblings, Harvey Barrer (Ruth), Linda Similar and Joan Hutchinson. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
