He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn and George; his brothers, Frank and Bill Thompson; his nephew David; and his close friend Bruce Parks (Darlene Parks).
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Thompson (Avni Patel Thompson), Rosie Vaillancourt (Brian Vaillancourt), Mari-Ann Tritten (Travis Tritten), Patrick Thompson and Anna Thompson; his grandchildren, Abby Vallancourt, Saaya, Arya Thompson, Taylor and Mason Tritten; his siblings, Gail Thompson, Mike (Cheryl Thompson), Theresa (Bill Trouten) and Sue Thompson; his family Leita Parks; and his friend Steve Marshall (Linda Marshall).
A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Boniface Church - Maryhill (1355 Maryhill Rd, Maryhill, ON N0B2B0). A reception was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Maryhill Heritage Park Community Centre - 58 St (58 St Charles St E, Maryhill, ON N0B2B0).
