He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice E. Masson and George Y. Masson; his brothers, Thomas and George; and his granddaughter Mackenzie.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Masson; his sons, Stephen (Clare), Paul (Janice) and David (Linda); his grandchildren, Nathanael, Stephanie, Melissa, Katherine, Joshua, Jamie, Izzy and Maddie; and his extended family Markham. He is also survived by his loving wife, sons, grandchildren, extended family, and a host of friends.

“Our condolences to family of Peter on this occasion of his passing in to his heavenly home. We knew Peter from Emmanuel Anglican and shared common heritage with his Gauthier mother. There we had a healing service and Gauthier reunion together. We knew Children of Le Roi Gauthier family too who were relatives of the Fishing Camps in French River so was able to help our distant relatives connect to each other. Peter ,Cherry and I collaborated on my work on the Gauthier family, Judith Masdorp”
