She was predeceased by: her husband Maurice Hoover; her parents, Samuel Fretz and May Fretz; and her siblings, Alma, Norman, Orval and Levi.

She is survived by: her children, Vernice (Katherine), Miriam (Jim France), Edwin and Betty (Ed Lehming); her grandchildren, Jennifer, Karen, Donald, Michael, Sarah, David, Clara, Anndee, Laura, Gregory and Andrea; her stepgrandchildren, Brent Hamilton and Jessica Hamilton; her great grandchildren, Andrew, Megan, Kaitlyn, Lily, Georgia, Kai, Eli, Levi, Theo and Jack; and her sister Mary Ann Schlabach.

Donations in memory of Lois may be made to Mennonite Central Committee.
