Eiko Maikawa Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eiko Maikawa of Markham, Ontario, who passed away on August 2, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Eiko Maikawa to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jiro and Matsuyo (Kiyoshi); her sister Kyoko (Kay); her brother-in-law Bob; her son-in-law Terry; and her sister-in-law Nora.

She is survived by: her children, Nancy and Doug (Nora); her grandchildren, Melissa, Michael (Laura), Jennifer (Sarah), Kimiko, Michelle (Jacob), Nicolle and David; her great grandchildren, Emiko, Jack, Scott, Avery, Arlo, Eleanor and Emilia; and her siblings, Hiroyuki (Nick), Ryoji (Roy) and Dan (Betty). She is also survived by her extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Momiji or the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre or any other charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
