Carrol Nicholls Obituary

Passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 in her 83rd year. Carrol Jean Nicholls, born April 25, 1939, to parents Ivy & Gordon Muir.

Beloved wife of the late Ernie Nicholls (married June 1954). Loving mother of 4 children: Ernie Jr. (Kathy) Nicholls, Susan (Wayne) Hill, Pamela (Mark Sr.) Petch, Brian (predeceased). Predeceased by siblings Sherlock, Josephine, Barbara and Gordon.

Family was Carrol's pride & joy, she will always be missed and loved by all her grandchildren & great-grandchildren: Adam (Stephanie) Hill and their children: Regan, Cohen, Brock, Presley; Michael (Tara) Hill and their children: Cora, Wendel, Grayson; Erin Hill-Thompson (Ryan) and their children: Kendal, Peyton; Mark Jr. (Kaitlin) Petch and their children: Scott and Samuel; Becky Petch (Justin Janveu) and their daughter: Porter; Patrick and Brian Petch; Jim Nicholls (Jannelle Watts); Andrew Nicholls and his daughter: Charlie Rose; Diana (Kevan Clermont) Nicholls and their son: Cole; Tyler McDonald Lourie, Benjamin Lourie, and Duncan Lourie (predeceased).

Carrol will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, and friends.

Always involved in many activities in the community throughout the years, Carrol volunteered for the reading program at Beavercrest School, Rotary events, Friends of the Library & the Hospital Auxiliary.

A private family funeral service will be held at the May Funeral Home, Markdale. Interment in Markdale Cemetery.
