He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Yolanda; his children, Sheldon (Lisa), Stacey (Roger Hogan) and Christopher; and his grandchildren, Ryan, Chloe, Brayden, Liam and Terrell.

“Aunt Yolanda and family. I'm shocked and sorry to hear of Uncle Welles passing, but I know that he is now forever with the Lord. I'm sure the knowledge of this is bringing much comfort to your hearts even though it's hard to be left behind to mourn. I always remembered the quiet, gentle, helpful and pleasant person he was to me; whenever I would come to visit during many holiday celebrations and birthdays. I am grateful for everything he taught me... they were all good life skills. God bless you”
