She was predeceased by: her husband John "Russell" Burgess; her parents, Archie Leach and Margaret Leach (Scott); her daughter Margaret Ann Babcock; and her siblings, Harold Leach (Ila), Donald Leach (Pat), Harry Leach, Margaret Kipp and Laura Corbett.
She is survived by: her children, Betty Jean Roelans of Chatham, Nancy Pitter (late Wayne), Wayne Burgess (Diane) and Murray Burgess of Vienna; her son-in-law George Babcock of Aylmer; her grandchildren, Jason (Gloria), Joe (Tiffany), Josh (Erin), Don (Susan), Lori, John, Cathy (late Brett), Leslee (Al), Darryl and Charlene (Chad); and her sister-in-law Shirley Leach of Tillsonburg. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
