He was predeceased by: his parent Henry Kohtala. He is survived by: his spouse Joyce; his children, Kerri (Roland) and Kurtis (Joanne); his grandchildren, Spencer, Connor and Kassidy; his parent Ellen Kohtala; his sibling Karl (Kathy); and his nieces and nephews, Kristopher and Kevin.
