He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Shearer and Beatrice Shearer. He is survived by: his wife Denise; his children, Harold Shearer (Connie), Thomas Shearer (Christine), Ivan Shearer (Tracy), Lisa Davidson (Jodi) and Robert Shearer; his sister Geri Byrnes (Gary); and his siblings-in-law, Diane (Denis), Paul (Denise) and Peter (Johanne). He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville or the Diabetes Canada will be gratefully acknowledged.
