He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Arthur Nielsen and Marie Nielsen; his wife Carol Nielsen; and his brother Kai Arthur Nielsen. He is survived by: his sons, Kevin (Claudia), Erik (Shannon) and Kyle (Kim); his grandchildren, Caitlin (Morgan), Loren, Brielle, Jessica (Phil) and Zachary (Abigail); his great grandchildren, Frederick, Jack and Brooks; and his nieces and nephews, Terry, Ted, Ann-Marie, Dawn (Karl) and Mark.

Any donations in his memory may be made to the Ontario SPCA Leeds Grenville Animal Care Center and will be gratefully acknowledged.
