Violet Iona Mountney Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet Iona Mountney of Madoc, Ontario, born in Bancroft, Ontario, who passed away on February 24, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Ronald; her daughter Marion; her son-in-law Hugh; her siblings, Irma Storey, Hilda Hawley, Jennie Taylor (Clifford) and Ross (Roy Card); and her parents, Miner Card and Lizzie Hinze.

She is survived by: her children, Dennis, Karen Mountney of Baptiste, Linda Musclow of Birds Creek, Ron, Darlene Mountney of Birds Creek, Kevin, Jo-Ann Mountney of Baptiste, Connie, Gerald Peacock of Hermon, Sandra, Ben Storey of Alberta and May Chan of Windsor; her son-in-law Dennis Musclow; her brother Don Card of Bancroft; and her sisters-in-law, Fay of Bancroft and Leona Card of Bancroft.

As expressions of sympathy, the family would welcome donations to the Timber Trails Retirement Residence in Madoc.
