He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. and May; his sister Jean; his son John Jr.; and his brother Robert (Karen).
He is survived by: his wife Janette; his children, Sherry, Mark (Sarah) and Mike (Juliet); his grandchildren, Zach, Sam, Alannah, Ty, Natalie, Jackson, Riley, Paisley and Eli; his brother Gary (Wendy); and his friend Garnet Knapman.
