He is survived by: his children, Steven Armstrong (Janet) of Ingleside, Bev Britton of Washington, Brian Armstrong of Newington, Pat Rowley of Cornwall, Laura Lalonde (Harvey) and Gord Shaver (Jane) of Lunenburg; his siblings, Helen Belec of Montreal and Don Armstrong of Lindsay; his grandchildren, Tyler (Jenn), Jay (Stephanie), Andrew (Heather), Robyn, Tracey (Matt) and Jason (Miranda); and his great grandchildren, Matteo, Olivia, Sullivan, Thomas, Ben, Eleanor, Hannah and Ethan.
