Rita Baks Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Baks of Lucknow, Ontario, who passed away on December 31, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Baks; her parents, Bernard Meekes and Hendrika Meekes; and her siblings, Dien, Mary and John.
She is survived by: her children, Don Baks of Culross Township, Margaret Sande (Andy) of Kinloss Township, Wilfred Baks (Lori) of Culross Township and Michael Baks of Ripley; her grandchildren, Kevin (Heather), David (Megan), Eric, Laura, Heather (Chris), Angela (Pat), Steven, John (Diana) and Carson (Nicole); her great grandchildren, Nigel, Charlotte, Madeline, Emily and Brady; and her sister Annie Baak of St. Jacobs. She is also survived by 2 sisters and 3 brothers in the Netherlands and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Tuesday, January 4th, 2022, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p. m. Anyone wishing to attend the visitation must RSVP using the links found on Rita's webpage or by calling the funeral home (519-392-6011). All attendees must wear a mask and respect physical distancing protocols.
Memorial donations to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation, Sacred Heart Church Building Fund or ALS Society of Ontario would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
