He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Ganderup (Stentoft) and Martin Ganderup; and his siblings, Andreas, Kristian, Gunhild, Ethel and Verner.

He is survived by: his wife Erika Ganderup (Becker) of Lucknow; his children, Billy Ganderup (Christine) of Chatham and Lisa Gibson (Darryl) of Lucknow; and his grandchildren, Brittany, Justin, Jordan, Cole, Erika and Brody.
