He is survived by: his children, Barbara, Richard Elliott of Teeswater, Colin, Linnea Cameron, Rosalea Cameron, Nelson Roy and Utah; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Neil), Bill, Joe Elliott (Staci), John, Malcolm, Stuart, Duncan Cameron and Branigan Roy; his great grandchildren, Marley, Rowan Gaspirc and Orson Elliott; and his sisters-in-law, Doris Nicholson and Lois Durnin.

“Sending our condolences to Don's family during this sad time. I enjoyed working with Don at Brookside School as his piano accompanist for the many concerts that he orchestrated between 1981 and 1984. He always had creative ideas (that he came up with during the church sermon, he used to tell me.). Then, he'd try out the music with his daughter, before presenting it to me. He spoke very highly of Barbara. Don also taught my husband, Dennis, back when Brookside first opened.”
