He is survived by: his spouse Patty Bannister (Dewan); his children, Rob Bannister, Kayla Bannister, Allix Bannister, James Wyllie, Russell Bannister, Amanda Havlik and Joe Bannister; his parents, Bill Bannister and Marilyn Bannister (Needham); his parents-in-law, Joe Dewan and Marilyn Dewan (Sillery); and his siblings, Kevin (Tien Bannister), Jason (Lynn Bannister), Cathy (Dale Kramer), Teresa (Brian Loucks) and Joe Dewan (Joanne Giardetti).
