He was predeceased by: his son Harry; and his siblings, Martin, Harry, Chris, Wim, Johanne, Gerry and Tina.

He is survived by: his spouse Theresa (Hogervorst); his children, Cindy Pugh, Keith Pugh of Ingersoll, Dave Boomen, Donna Van Den Boomen of St. Thomas, Jacqueline MacMillan and Chris MacMillan of Birr; his grandchildren, Emily, Ben, Kasey, Shandra, Danielle and Taylor; and his great grandchild Charlie David.
