He was predeceased by: his wife Ada Steeper (Ward); his parents, Jean Steeper and Clayton Steeper; and his sister-in-law Alice Ward. He is survived by: his children, David and Tammy Steeper (Lesperance) of Britannia Beach, B. C; his grandson Tyson Steeper of Maple Ridge, B. C; his siblings, Caren Johnston, Bruce Dykeman, Dianna and Endel Hiiuvain; and his siblings-in-law, Harold Ward, Ross and Mary Ward.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the heart and stroke foundation would be appreciated by the family.
