He was predeceased by: his siblings, Erva Gorham (Bert) and Marion Bain (Ernie); and his sister-in-law Darla Clapperton. He is survived by: his wife Enid (Barber) of Loring; his children, Keith Clapperton (Patty) of Mt. Albert, Judi Hanna (Derek) of Calgary, Laurie Dryburgh (Steve) of Mississauga and Dave Clapperton (Lisa) of North Bay; his grandchildren, Jason (Robyn), Joel (Megan), Luke Hanna, Megan, Kate, Alex Clapperton, Ben and Nick Dryburgh; his great grandchildren, George, Ellie, Chet, Knox, Indie and Henry Hanna; and his siblings, Leta Smith (late George) of Powassan, Gloria Gillette (late Joe) of Loring, Harley Clapperton, Warren Clapperton (Hazel) of South River and Derrill Clapperton (late Betty) of Port Loring.

“Orlie Clapperton has been my ‘go to’ name for the many years my husband hunted at the Slumber Hunt Camp. In the early years of my life in Parry Sound I would be left at home each Fall with several young children, no direct highway to Loring & no way to contact him (except through Orlie or Gorham’s store, while Bruce disappeared for a week or more into the wilderness. Any problem regarding the camp that arose during the year, it was always, “Contact Orlie”. He & the wonderful people of your”
