He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Nicholls (Davis) and Rayburn Nicholls; his granddaughter Rebecca Uetz; and his siblings, Wendy Nicholls, Cindy Nicholls, Brian Nicholls and Randy Nicholls.

He is survived by: his wife Melody (Simms) of Loring; his children, Stacey Uetz of North Bay and Deanne Spry (Richard Spry) of St. Thomas; his grandchildren, Kreszentia Uetz, Mary-Beth Uetz-Trotter (Jeffery Trotter), Austin Spry (Aine Zebregts) and Tory Spry (Marshal Begin); his great grandchildren, Christopher Vaillancourt, Theodore Trotter, Daniel Uetz and Mya-Rose Trotter; and his siblings, Garry Nicholls (Anne), Sharon Nicholls (Emmett), Kathy Parks (Norman) and Donald Nicholls.
