He was predeceased by: his parents, Ovila Méconse and Délisca Lacourse; and his siblings, Ronald, Laurier (late Marie-Berthe), Juliette (late Valmare Savard) and Béatrice (late Bernard Saumure).
He is survived by: his wife Gisèle Labelle; his children, Serge (Carole Labrie) and Dean (Sarah Jestin); his grandchildren, Chinook Méconse, Michael, Kirsten Méconse, Mylène, Véronique Brazeau and Stéphane Labrie; his siblings, Rolland (Gisèle Galipeau), Georgette, Bernadette (Réjean Mantha) and Paulette (late Jacques-Yves Riel); and his sister-in-law Pierrette Labelle (Nelson Langevin). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
