It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gavin Echum of Longlac, Ontario, born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, who passed away on September 4, 2024, at the age of 26, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his great-grandparents, Roy, Genevieve Echum and Richard Ferris (Pop Cyril Goudie). He is survived by: his siblings, Emmalee (Curtis), Callie and Mateo; his aunt Leah; his brother Steve; his son Sylas Roy; his parents, Leah and Steve; his grandparents, Celine, Marc, Leonard, Sylvie and Nan Betty Goudie; his brother Matheo; his great-grandparent Laura Ferris; his uncles, Ryden and Cody (Michelle); and his aunt Cassy (Waylon). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 17th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Harbourview Funeral Centre (499 Cumberland St N, Thunder Bay, ON P7A4R9). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 18th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
