She was predeceased by: her spouse Ype "Ed" Steiginga; and her siblings, Lammy (Jelle) and Gay (Fred). She is survived by: her children, Robert Steiginga (Susan), Nancy Bouterse (Jack), Margaret Nyboer (Andrew), Gerald Steiginga (Nicole) and David Steiginga (Christine); her sibling Foeke (late Maart); and her sisters-in-law, Maatje, Willy and Lucy.
