He was predeceased by: his wife Ellen Pickering (Nimmo); his nieces and nephews, Gordon Nimmo, Garry Nimmo, Sharon Nimmo, Mark Pickering and Lisa Pickering; and his parents, William Pickering and Annie Pickering (McAllister).
He is survived by: his children, Todd Pickering (Jane) and Fiona Currie (Steven); his brother George Pickering (Sheila); and his grandchildren, Liam Currie, MacGregor Currie, Ellis Currie, Eric Pickering and Colin Pickering.
