He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thornton and Isabella Thornton; his wife Aileen Thornton; and his siblings, Phyllis Keiller (George), Jessie Stoddard (George) and Ctesiphon Thornton (Margaret).
He is survived by: his aunt Hannah; his uncle Jim Thornton; his daughters, Deborah White (Shahid Hayat) of London, ON and Cheryl O Art of London, ON; and his grandchildren, April White of Sydney Australia, Joshua Jones of Cambridge, ON, Judah Oudshoorn of Kitchener, ON, Daniel Oudshoorn of London, ON and Abram Oudshoorn of London, ON. He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins.
