He was predeceased by: his child Laurie; and his parents, Harold O'Connor and Dorothy O'Connor (Harris). He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his children, Lisa and Carl; his siblings, Dan (late Carol), Judy Koyl (Harley), Maxine Slatterie (Lyle), Evelyn Keep (late Doug), Gary, Charlie (late Trudy) and Tom (Annie); and his pets, Gracey, Bridgette and Maddie. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
